Blogging has been around for more than eight years in the 'States. But I see that in the last two to three years, there has been a blogging boom in these parts. Blame that on our follow-the-leader mentality.

I've noticed some real players in blogging here in the Philippines. Most are good and better than your daily newspapers opinion columns. For me, that is what blogging is: everyone's voice can be heard and everyone gets published on their own terms.

Most have legitimate concerns and focus issues. Some are plain gibberish and immaturity talks. Still, there are some who are craving for attention but cannot seem to get the right strategy on how to do it. Claiming to witness supernatural phenomenon like angels and heavenly beings sounds a great idea to hitch on the blogging bandwagon but when it is not well received, sometimes the outcome borders on lunacy.

How would you feel about this grand idea: Assume multiple personalities and multiple blogs and pretend to comment and talk about each other (review their blogs even!) as if you do not know yourself?

I know of a particular blogger who does this. He's quite a newbie but he is slowly mastering the craft of multiple blogging. He is so deep into it he even comments in his other blogs as if he does not know he was also the one who wrote those. You think that's weird? Well, he is slowly becoming even weirder because he answers his own comments. He makes it appear that there are so many people/commenters in his blog when in reality, it is only his "multiple personalities" hanging around.

Oh, he fools a good 3 to 5 people occasionally into believing that there is a cacophony of reactive voices in his postings.

But I know better. I have seen through his illusionary veil of deceit. I cannot tolerate it anymore. I am out to get people like him. He simply has no courtesy and esteem for his readers.

My name is Lieutenant Dick and this is my first blog. The name is a spin-off from the newbie blogger who is my first prey. You will know more about him in due time.

My theme will be weirdo-sniffing in the blogging world. I will expose the charlatans. Beware. You know who you are. Better reform now while you have time. You wouldn't want to be here when the excrement hits the fan. If you are not a plagiarist, if you don't have multiple blogging personalities aiming to deceive people, if you have a venerable focus and you honor your readers, then you have nothing to fear from me. Occasionally, I will be discussing my insights on pressing issues.
